RexBright Quartz floors utilize richly pigmented aggregate in combination with high performance resin systems to create the ultimate solution for both performance and decorative appeal. This product is chemically resistant, food safe and meets medical and pharmaceutical grade requirements. It can be designed for UV stability and provides optimal durability and performance in the most demanding environments.
In addition to its decorative properties, RexBright Quartz can be applied to achieve many different textures and minimize slip and fall injuries.

RexBright Quartz can be used in busy, high-traffic applications, and has the durability required to last for many years. Quartz aggregate floors can be installed to a variety of texture levels resulting in excellent improved traction properties.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1
Profile entire concrete floor by shot blasting or diamond grinding. By “opening” the concrete and creating a profile we ensure the concrete and epoxy are properly bonded.
Step 2
Cracks in concrete are opened using a concrete saw and then filled. We also complete concrete restoration work at this stage, this could include repairing damage like surface spalling.
Step 3
Construction joints in the concrete may be filled at this time.
Step 4
The surface is thoroughly cleaned to remove any dust or debris.
Step 5
We apply a high quality, high solids, Epoxy base coat @ 10-12mils.
Step 6
While the epoxy is still wet we broadcast quartz.
Step 7
After the epoxy has cured overnight we remove any excess quartz.
Step 8
We apply clear epoxy or optional polyaspartic.
Step 9
While the opoxy is still wet, a second broadcast of quartz is applied.
Step 10
Once the second broadcast is cured, we once again remove any excess quartz.
Step 11
We apply a clear epoxy, polysiloxane, or polyaspartic seal coat to improve chemical and abrasion resistance or to adjust surface texture.
Step 12
The floor must be allowed to cure for 24 hours before foot traffic can resume and 1 week before vehicle traffic resumes.
Step 13
Floors require little more than normal cleaning. If required, Rexbright Quartz floors can be easily renewed with an additional polysiloxane top coat.
